2. Hosting

This website is hosted by STRATO AG, Otto-Ostrowski-Strasse 7, 10249 Berlin, Germany. The servers are located in Germany. The provider processes data on our behalf under a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR.

3. Server log files

When you visit this website, the server automatically collects data transmitted by your browser:

  • the address requested and the date of the request
  • the browser and operating system used
  • the volume of data transferred and whether the request succeeded
  • the IP address

This data is not combined with other sources. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR: we have a legitimate interest in providing the website free of technical faults and protecting it against attacks. The data is deleted automatically after a short period.

4. Encryption

This website uses SSL/TLS encryption throughout. You can recognise this by „https://“ in your browser’s address bar. Content you send us therefore cannot be read by third parties.

5. Cookies and local storage

This website sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device. There is no reach measurement, no tracking and no profiling.

One exception concerns the editorial team only: when staff log in to the protected area, WordPress sets a session cookie for that purpose. This is irrelevant for visitors to the website. The legal basis is Section 25(2)(2) TDDDG in conjunction with Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

As we use no techniques requiring consent, this website also needs no cookie banner.

6. Contact form

If you write to us using the contact form, we process the details you provide: name, e-mail address and your message. These details are sent to us by e-mail and are not stored in the website database.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your enquiry relates to a contract or its initiation, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR based on our legitimate interest in answering enquiries.

We keep your enquiry until it has been dealt with conclusively and no statutory retention periods apply. You may object to further storage at any time.

To guard against automated submissions, the form contains a simple arithmetic question. No data is transmitted to third parties; the check takes place entirely on our own server.

7. Applications

Through the application form we process your name, e-mail address, optionally your telephone number, your message and the documents you upload. The data reaches us by e-mail; uploaded files are deleted from the server immediately after sending.

The legal basis is Section 26(1) BDSG in conjunction with Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR – the processing serves the decision on entering into an employment relationship.

If no appointment is made, we delete your documents six months after the procedure ends. If you would like us to keep your application for future opportunities, we will obtain your separate consent.

8. No external services

This website embeds no content from third-party servers – no map services, video platforms, analytics tools or social networks. When you open a page, only our own server is contacted. No data is therefore transmitted to third parties.

9. Sending e-mail

Messages from the forms are sent via STRATO AG’s outgoing mail server. The provider processes the transmitted content solely for the purpose of delivery.

10. Fonts

The typeface used is delivered from our own server. There is no connection to Google Fonts or any other external font service, and no data is transferred to third parties.

11. Your rights

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • access to the data processed (Art. 15 GDPR)
  • rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR)
  • erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)
  • restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
  • data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
  • objection to processing (Art. 21 GDPR)
  • withdrawal of consent with effect for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR)
