DSAG working group EWM / warehouse logistics: the 2026 in-person meeting

This year’s in-person meeting again offered an excellent opportunity for professional exchange, networking and discussion of current developments around SAP EWM and modern warehouse logistics.

A bus tour to four companies

A particular highlight of this year’s meeting was the joint bus tour to four companies from four different industries. Participants gained exclusive insights into real warehouse and logistics processes and had the chance to see different requirements and solution approaches first hand.

The following companies were visited:

• binder Gruppe
• Capri Sun Group
• Roche
• Theo Förch GmbH & Co. KG

The openness with which the companies presented their processes, challenges and solution strategies was impressive. It was particularly interesting to see how differently warehouse logistics requirements play out depending on the industry – and how flexibly SAP EWM can be applied to them.

A change in the speaker role

Alongside the technical topics, this year’s meeting also marked a special farewell: after many years, Klaus Kratz and Klaus Schimek are stepping down as speakers of the DSAG working group for EWM.

With great commitment, professional expertise and a great deal of passion, both have shaped the working group over the years and built a strong community. Their work has contributed significantly to fostering exchange within the SAP EWM community and to creating valuable platforms for knowledge transfer and collaboration.

At the same time, we are delighted that Robin Loewenthal and Martin Ullrich will take on the speaker roles going forward. We wish them every success in their new task and look forward to seeing the working group develop further under their leadership.
